The Resurrection Changes Everything

"Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”' john 11:25-26

The resurrection of Jesus didn’t just make history—it changed everything. It’s the moment that split time into B.C. and A.D. It’s the foundation of our faith. And it proves three life-changing truths.

1. The resurrection proves who Jesus is.

Jesus claimed to be the Son of God—the one who came to die for our sins. And then he did exactly what he said he would do.

The resurrection isn’t a myth or a legend. It’s one of the most well-documented events in history. The apostle Paul writes that Jesus appeared to hundreds of people after rising from the dead—many of whom were still alive at the time and could verify it (1 Corinthians 15:3–8).

Simply put: Jesus is who he said he is.

2. The resurrection proves you can trust Jesus.

Jesus told his followers ahead of time that he would die and rise again—and he kept that promise (Matthew 16:21). That means you can trust everything else he said.

The Bible reminds us: “No matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ” (2 Corinthians 1:20). If Jesus kept the biggest promise, you can trust him with the rest of your life.

3. The resurrection proves there is life after death.

Because Jesus rose from the dead, death is not the end of the story. There is hope beyond the grave.

Jesus said, “Anyone who believes in me… shall live again.” That’s a promise you won’t find anywhere else. And it’s not something you earn—it’s something you receive.

The Bible says we are made right with God by grace through faith—not by our effort, but by trusting in Jesus (Ephesians 2:8–9). No matter who you are or what your past looks like, you can be forgiven, made new, and brought into a relationship with God (Romans 3:22).
