Fully Known & Fully Loved By God

God knows you. 100% of you. He knows you better than anyone else in the world. He even knows you better than you know yourself.

He sees what you choose to share with others. He sees what’s hidden. He knows exactly where you are in life, not where you appear to be. He knows your thoughts. He knows your fears. He knows your hang-ups. He knows your dreams. He knows your greatest memories. He knows what brings you joy. He knows what you’re going through, why you’re going through it, and how you feel about it.

Hebrews 4:13 says, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight” (NIV). God is never surprised. He knows everything!

The fact that God knows everything about you is actually good news, not bad. Here’s why: It would be one thing if God loved you for the person you “presented yourself to be” at church. It would be one thing if God loved the lovable parts of you. But, God KNOWS you, the good, the bad and the ugly, and He STILL LOVES you unconditionally. 

The truth is, to be fully known, yet fully loved by your Creator is FREEING.

Many people feel trapped by their past. They say, “If you knew what I’ve done, you’d know I’ll never be acceptable to God.”

I don’t know what you’ve done, but God does—and he still accepts you: “God says he will accept and acquit us—declare us ‘not guilty’—if we trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, by coming to Christ, no matter who we are or what we have been like” (Romans 3:22 TLB).

He’s not shocked by your sin, and when you admit it to him, it will never change the way he feels about you. That means you don’t have to fake it. You don’t have to pretend.

Thanks to Jesus, you are acceptable to God. Live in that freedom, and direct your heart toward him. Guilt and shame have no place in your life, because of Christ.
